How To Make Travel Packing Safer with Packing Cubes

Yes, packing cubes can make your travels safer. Packing can be a stressful and tedious task for many people. Often you hear people say, “I love to travel but I hate to pack”. Packing can be a handful, especially when traveling with children. I usually travel with my siblings and it is rough!

In the early years of traveling, I’m sure packing was always something you left for the last minute. But, with all the mishaps that can occur, you quickly learned that it was a bad idea.

With that said, you are fortunate enough to stumble upon this article. In this post, I will tell you ways in which you can make vacation packing safer and stress-free by using packing cubes.

What can go wrong? and How to avoid it.

Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. However, in terms of packing, the things that can go wrong can be avoided.

Baggage Overspill

This occurs when your luggage opens when being moved by the airport officials. When you travel, no special treatment is given to your baggage. All bags are lifted and tossed. Because of this, you often see people trying to stuff clothes back in a bag that was broken or opened accidentally.

This can be avoided by using packing cubes. Packing cubes are mini bags that can be placed inside of your larger luggage. These will prevent you from having to stuff clothes back into your luggage in the event that you have a baggage overspill.

Overweight

If you pack your luggage correctly every time, then being overweight is not a likely event. However, in the odd chance that you are overweight, packing cubes will save you.

With packing cubes, you can save your valuables, as they are already sorted in smaller bags. You can easily take out a cube to put in another bag.

Tip: When overweight, it is cheaper to add an extra bag to your ticket rather than pay overweight charges.

Baggage In spill

With the 3-1-1 rule, most liquids are only allowed in your checked baggage. With this, you will have to pack your liquids and clothes in the same bag. Sometimes what may happen is that your liquids will spill and that ruins your clothes.

However, with packing cubes you can reduce the chance of this happening. You can sort your travel necessities, packing all liquids in one cube and clothes in another.

Misplaced Item

Misplacing an item can be very annoying and dangerous when traveling. It may be dangerous if you misplace important items such as medicine. It will be annoying when you need something and can’t find it.

But, packing cubes will save the day. Once you organize your luggage you will not have any trouble finding what you need. A great tip also is to label your cubes. This will save time and energy.

Packed a wrong item

Although most people are frequent travelers, some still pack wrong items. Certain items are unsafe for the aircraft, therefore not allowed. Now, this happens often and it’s more annoying than embarrassing.

When you pack a wrong item, you will have to shuffle through your bag to remove it. This causes you to fall to the back of the screening line and loose time.

While packing cubes won’t stop you from having to remove the item, they will stop you from having to shuffle through all your things.

Conclusion

And there you have it; simple ways in which you can travel safer and smarter by using packing cubes and packing correctly. Just like other things in life, packing can be accomplished once you have enough information.

If you follow the recommendations listed, then your luggage will always be safely and securely packed.

If you’ve tried packing cubes, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
